ARTIST'S
STATEMENT
| Over
the past five years I've been developing a body of work
which I call FLOATING WORLD.
In part these paintings are a tribute
to the Japanese masters of the Edo Period (1603-1867).
I started these paintings in France after living in Japan
for seven years. The imagery is both of an erotic and
non-erotic nature. I usually work in a montage format.
Stylistic elements of Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art
have also been an influence on my work since I began painting
30 years ago. |
